WWE is in Las Vegas for a special WrestleMania Press Conference, with Roman Reigns, The Rock, and Cody Rhodes all set to be in attendance.
Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair will also be there, with CM Punk teasing his involvement.
This is an event that feels more like an unofficial P.L.E. than it does an actual press conference.
I don’t remember ever being this pumped to see a press conference. In any sport. Ever.
This goes to show you how HOT the WWE product is right now.
So needless to say, I’m expecting plenty of fireworks out of tonight’s event.
So, what will Cody Rhodes decide?
Prediction: Cody Makes His Decision. Chooses Seth Rollins.
Earlier today, Cody Rhodes announced via his IG that he has made his decision, and we can assume he’ll reveal that in tonight’s press conference.
Also earlier today, The Rock confirmed his return to the ring during his interview with Pat McAfee, making a path for Cody to face Roman even more unlikely.
Cody can still pick Roman, but that would mean Roman Reigns pulls double-duty at the biggest event of the year (which would be UNHEARD of).
It’s not very realistic to think Roman can choreograph a match with Cody Rhodes and The Rock at the same time. The Rock hasn’t wrestled a match in over ten years, he’s going to need all the attention he can get.
If done right, Roman Reigns vs The Rock has the potential to be viewed in the same light as The Rocks other legendary WrestleMania matches with Stone Cold and John Cena (let’s forget that 2nd match ever happened).
On the other hand, if done wrong, this match can go down in history as the worst WrestleMania match since Brock Lesnar and Goldberg.
Cody can also make this a Triple Threat Match, but it would dilute The Rock and Cody’s individual stories with Roman.
This is a route I highly doubt the company decides to take.
Ultimately, I predict Cody chooses Seth Rollins, with a Drew McIntyre appearance to make Cody’s decision a little easier.
Just because Cody won’t finish his story entirely at WrestleMania, doesn’t mean he can’t have a happy ending.
